Little London Community Primary School

"Helping children and the community succeed in the heart of the city"

Curriculum

From September 2014 we, like all schools, will be following the new National Curriculum

Subjects taught are:

English

Mathematics

Science

Information Technology

History

Geography

Design technology

Physical Education

Art

Music

Religious Education

Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education

We also offer ten - fifteen minutes of French (Modern Foreign Language) per day from Year Three upwards.

Policy documents and details on all these areas of study can be found in school or on our website.  These policies are under constant review and relate to the National Curriculum demands as a minimum requirement for children.  Our school policies, for each of these subject areas, seek to fill out and extend the content of each subject, and illustrate how these subjects are made real and meaningful to each of our children through quality teaching.

We teach all subjects through a themed ‘immersed’ learning approach. This gives our children time to really look in depth and make connections in their learning.
