Little London Community Primary School

"Helping children and the community succeed in the heart of the city"

School Uniform

Little London Community Primary School has a uniform policy as we believe it helps the children feel that they are part of something special, stops competition over designer labels, helps parents in a morning and gives a sense of community.

Children are asked to wear:

  • Black or grey trousers, skirt or pinafore
  • White polo shirt
  • School sweat shirt
  • Blue and white summer dress or grey shorts

Children must wear sensible BLACK SHOES for school.

(No trainers, boots, flip flops or backless shoes please as these are not only unhealthy to wear all day but also pose a health and safety risk – especially as we have stairs.)

Please ensure your child has a coat at all times as the weather is very unpredictable.  Sun hats and sun cream must be worn during hot weather.

All items of clothing and all personal belongings must be labelled with your child’s name. The school cannot take responsibility for lost items of clothing or personal possessions.

As a health and safety issue children should not wear jewellery in school as it can be a danger to themselves and the other children when playing.  Pierced ears should have one set of small studs or small sleepers (no larger than 5mm across) only and these must be removed or taped during PE lessons.

Please avoid extremes in hairstyles, particularly those which involve colouring, shaving or writing.  We are a primary school and our pupils are young children!  They will have plenty of time to be fashionable later in life!
